Dr. Jordan Newmark

Dr. Newmark is currently a practicing anesthesiologist and pain medicine specialist with clinical interests in chronic and acute pain management, interdisciplinary / procedural pain treatment, team-based approaches to patients with dual acute or chronic pain and substance use disorders, qualified medical evaluation to injured workers, as well as anesthesia for orthopedic, spine, and neurosurgery.

Dr. Newmark’s academic interests involve immersive based learning, trainee performance, cognitive aid development, and improving patient outcomes and safety. He continues to develop pain medicine simulation scenarios and other educational programs within the Stanford University Division of Pain Medicine, as well as treat patients while supervising pain medicine fellows.

Dr. Newmark is ABA double board certified in Anesthesiology and Pain Medicine.

Dr. Newmark is President & CEO of E&S Newmark Consulting, an Adjunct Clinical Associate Professor at Stanford University, as well as active clinical anesthesiologist, pain medicine specialist, and qualified medical evaluator (QME) for the state of California. The overall focus of Dr. Newmark's career has been to address perioperative and pain related public health issues through health system leadership and medical education, particularly surrounding the topics of perioperative and surgical care quality, acute and chronic pain management, opioid safety, addiction related team-based care, pandemic and mass casualty response planning, and health equity in healthcare delivery and training. Dr. Newmark has won numerous awards, been published in peer reviewed journals, and presented his work across the country.

Dr. Newmark has over 15 years of clinical and training experience, and has been providing consulting services since 2009. Dr. Newmark’s leadership and understanding of healthcare delivery, medical practice, work flows, regulatory readiness, operations, technology and financial aspects of medicine is key to his consultative services.
